In short

We collect what it takes to show your projects and nothing else. We never sell your data, there are no ads, and you can export or delete everything from Settings.

ihaveaproject.com is a place to show the things you build. To do that we need to know who you are and what you want to show. This page explains what we keep, why, and how to get it back or remove it.

02What we collect

When you make an account we keep your name, email and username. Everything you put on your page, from project descriptions to build-log posts, is stored so we can show it to the people you choose. Sign-in is passwordless, so there is no password for us to lose.

  • Account: name, email, username, photo.
  • Content: projects, updates, roadmaps, team roles.
  • Responses: applications, reservations and pledge amounts visitors send you. No payment details.
  • Usage: anonymous page counts, only if you allow analytics cookies.

03How we use your data

In short

To run the site, to send the emails you asked for, and to keep spam out. That is the whole list.

We use your email to send sign-in links and the notifications you turned on. Visitors who follow a maker give their email to that maker's updates only, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

04Makers and followers

If you follow a maker, that maker can see your email so they can write to you, and can export it. They cannot see what else you follow. Makers agree not to add followers to other lists.

When you apply to a role, back a project or send an inquiry, the maker sees what you wrote in the form and the email you gave.

05Cookies

Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember your cookie choice. Analytics and preference cookies are off until you allow them. The cookie page lists each one.

06Who we share with

In short

A short list of service providers who help us run the site. Nobody buys your data.

We use a hosting provider in the EU, an email delivery service to send sign-in links and updates, and Stripe to process the one-time Pro payment. Each of them only gets what they need to do that job.

07Keeping your data safe

Connections are encrypted, sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and work once, and access to production data is limited to the people who run the service.

08Your rights

You can see, correct, export and delete your data. Under the GDPR you can also object to processing and complain to your data protection authority. In Bulgaria that is the Commission for Personal Data Protection.

09Deleting your data

Delete your account in Settings. Your page goes offline at once and your data is removed within 30 days, except what we must keep for tax records of a Pro purchase.

10Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we email account holders before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
